Where quality meets sustainability and community empowerment. Located in Muhondo Sector, Gakenke District, in Rwanda’s Northern Province, we are a private coffee processing station committed to producing some of the finest specialty coffee in the world.
Established in 2006 by the Terimbere Kawa Yacu Cooperative and fully operated by Muhondo Coffee Company Ltd. since 2013, we have grown to become a beacon of excellence in Rwanda’s coffee industry. Our dedication to quality has earned us global recognition, including the 2014 Cup of Excellence Presidential Award and the 3rd place in 2015 Cup of Excellence, solidifying our place among the best coffee producers.

What We Do
We process coffee cherries sourced from over 1,800 farmers, 40% of whom are women. Alongside our own plantation of 30,000 coffee trees, we work tirelessly to transform freshly harvested cherries into export-ready green beans. Our comprehensive process includes:
Accepting only ripe cherries harvested on the same day to ensure quality.
Utilizing advanced techniques like fermentation, washing, drying, and hand-sorting to preserve unique flavors.
Conducting rigorous inspections and traceability measures for every batch.
